This photo is from an order that went out this week - red stardream envelopes addressed with white ink. These turned out so pretty - so much contrast, between the dark and light colors, and the shimmery texture of the envelopes with the flat, matte finish of the ink. They were also the unique (but getting increasingly popular) size No. 10 envelope.

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far! We are having an unexpected snow day! They called for snow this weekend earlier in the week, but then changed it to only a possibility of a dusting. It looks like the snow came anyway! There isn't too much on the ground so far, but it has been coming down for several hours...I guess we'll see what we end up with!

You get such beautiful thicks and thins! what white ink do you use? I am having trouble finding one that doesn't glop up in the nib. I've been using Dr PH Martin's bleedproof white. Any suggestions?

Hi Christi! Thank you for your kind comment! I use Dr. Martins, actually! I pour a little into a small glass jar (I use dappen dishes), and then add drops of distilled water, one at a time, stirring between drops, until it gets to a good consistency for writing - thin enough to flow, but thick enough to be opaque. Then, as I'm working, I stir the ink and wipe off the nib often, and occasionally add another drop or two of water.
